Backstory is a new biannual magazine from the south London bookshop of the same name. It's a magazine for book lovers, but rather than page after page of reviews, it bursts with colour and a huge passion for reading.

In issue 2, there's some great longer features like how Penguin is fighting back against book bans, what it's like to teach In Cold Blood in a women's prison, and how to write sex (like a grown up). There's also columns on everything from "Insta Poetry," to the occupational hazards of translating and lots of fun little bookish facts and tidbits in between.
